Some might say that a contemporary house is the same as a modern house. There’s nothing wrong with remembering some of the similarities: minimalism, a firm line of structure, and an open impression.
However, some say contemporary and modern designs are different. Modern home design refers to home designs that emerged in the early 20th century to the 1950s. Then you can say 1920s Art Deco style homes, 50s Mid-Century and 1970s vintage styles have a modern style.
